Campbell Young ist bereits seit vielen Jahren als Make-up-, Haar- und Perückenspezialist im Theaterbereich tätig. So setzte er im West End und in ganz UK Produktionen wie TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, Allelujah!, The Ferryman, Funny Girl, St. Joan, One Night in Miami, City of Angels, The Young Chekhov Trilogy, Bend It Like Beckham, High Society, Made In Dagenham, Gypsy, Guys & Dolls und The Bodyguard um.

Am Old Vic arbeitete er für Produktionen wie A Christmas Carol, The Girl from the North Country, The Master Builder, The Lorax, High Society, Electra, Clarence Darrow, Sweet Bird of Youth, Richard III, Kiss Me, Kate und Inherit the Wind. Am Broadway war er für Head Over Heels, Carousel, Three Tall Women, Hello Dolly!, Meteor Showers, 1984, Front Page, The Crucible, A Fish in The Dark, Misery, Sylvia, A Delicate Balance, The Last Ship, It’s Only a Play, Betrayal, One Man Two Guvnors, Les Misérables und Spider-Man engagiert. Sowohl am Broadway als auch im West End war er für Farinelli and the King, Groundhog Day, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Les Liaisons Dangereueses, American Psycho, The Cripple of Inishmaan, Matilda, Ghost, Mary Stuart, Billy Elliot, La Bête, Private Lives und Rock ’n’ Roll tätig.

Neben Schauspiel und Musical arbeitet Campbell Young auch für internationale Opernproduktionen. So realisierte er Don Carlos und L’Enfant et les Sortilèges am Bolschoi-Theater in Moskau, Anne Nicole an der Brooklyn Academy of Music und Elektra in Aix-en-Provence.

Zu seinen Arbeiten im Bereich Film und Fernsehen zählen so bekannte Produktionen wie The Americans, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black oder auch Smash.
